Sofa was created in 2003 by two sisters and their mom in central Pennsylvania, when they discovered some funky upholstery remnants and decided to make them into handbags.

Sofa handbags and totes have been sold in stores in Pennsylvania and New York City and featured at juried art shows.

Mom's sewing room still doubles as Sofa's factory, where each bag is handmade.
